Making Task

In a Making Task, students consider what quantities are needed to scale up. In primary grades, we scale up by repeated addition with visuals and number sentences and in upper grades, we scale up using multiplication and proportional reasoning.

The resources in this section will help you implement Making tasks in your school or classroom. Each example will provide planning slides, student handouts, viewing guides for video and annotated student work. Please login to view videos.
